ELA - Read Well is the reading curriculum we use in kindergarten and first-grade and for reading intervention in grades K-4. Read Well provides instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and reading fluency. 

Math - UPSD Math is based on the philosophy listed below. 

• UPSD Math is designed, so that every student receives the same academic background knowledge and the same set of skills that they can use as a reference for future learning. 

• When students have gaps in their mathematical learning/understanding, UPSD Math content provides students with a “catch up” path to fill these gaps.

• UPSD Math lessons include specific scaffolds and supports, which are designed to meet individual student needs.

• UPSD Math content includes powerful, visual math models for future learning that will be applicable in future mathematical areas from pre-algebra to calculus and beyond.

ELA Grades 6-7 - SpringBoard ELA is a comprehensive program for teaching reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking. Students build vocabulary and academic background knowledge through comprehensive units of study.

Math Grades 6-7 - Savvas enVision Mathematics focuses on deep conceptual math understanding and is aided by visual models and student mathematical tasks. 

Science Grades 5-7 - UPSD Science is used in grade 5. Pearson Interactive Science is used in grades 6 and 7.  Science course maps are designed so that every student receives the same academic background knowledge througout the school year. Students learn about essential science content and scientific practices. Specific Pearson Interactive Science content covered in grades 6 and 7 is as follows:
