The State of Washington established comprehensive financial education standards for students in grades K-12 in 2016. The standards are suggested learnings and are not required at this time. In UPSD, learning associated with many financial education standards is a part of various courses and units of study in grades K-12. All students in grades 9-12 must be provided an opportunity to access the state's standards for financial education.
